The Blue Phantom Pleco (L128) is a highly prized freshwater catfish known for its striking steel-blue to slate-gray coloration accented by vibrant blue fins. Native to the fast-flowing waters of Brazil’s Rio Xingu, this beautiful pleco is a favorite among aquarists for its unique appearance, peaceful nature, and manageable adult size.

Blue Phantom Plecos thrive in aquariums with excellent water quality, strong current, and plenty of oxygen. They enjoy driftwood, rock caves, and shaded hiding places where they can rest during the day. While they will graze on algae and biofilm, they require a varied diet of sinking pellets, algae wafers, fresh vegetables, and protein-rich frozen foods to remain healthy.
