The Blue Neon “Chiwindi” Peacock Cichlid is a beautiful Aulonocara stuartgranti variety prized for the intense electric-blue to neon-blue coloration mature males can develop. Its brilliant metallic tones and classic Peacock body shape make it an impressive addition to a Lake Malawi African cichlid aquarium.

Mature males typically display the strongest blue coloration, while females and juveniles are generally more subdued. As males mature, proper nutrition, excellent water quality, and appropriate social conditions can help them reach their full color potential.

Like other Peacock Cichlids, the Blue Neon Chiwindi is generally less aggressive than many Mbuna species but should still be considered semi-aggressive, particularly between competing males.
