The Zhen Zhu Full Pearl Flowerhorn is a spectacular ornamental cichlid known for its intense pearling, bold coloration, and distinctive Flowerhorn appearance. “Zhen Zhu,” often called the Pearl Flowerhorn, is especially prized for the shimmering pearl-like markings that can extend across the body, fins, and head.

Full Pearl specimens are selected for particularly heavy pearling coverage, creating a brilliant metallic appearance under aquarium lighting. As the fish matures, its coloration, pearling, body shape, and characteristic nuchal hump (kok) can continue to develop. Genetics, diet, water quality, and overall care all influence the final appearance of each fish.

Flowerhorns are intelligent and highly interactive fish that often learn to recognize their keeper. Their bold personality makes them an impressive centerpiece fish, but their territorial nature means they are generally best housed individually.
