The Thai Lace African Cichlid is a striking selectively bred Peacock Cichlid known for its vibrant coloration and intricate lace-like patterning. These fish can display beautiful combinations of blue, red, orange, yellow, and metallic tones, creating an impressive appearance under aquarium lighting.

Thai Lace Peacocks are bred primarily for their exceptional color and pattern. Mature males typically develop the most intense coloration, while juveniles may require time to reach their full potential. Individual coloration and markings can vary considerably, making each fish unique.

Like other Peacock Cichlids, Thai Lace Africans are generally less aggressive than many Mbuna species but should still be considered semi-aggressive. They thrive in a spacious Lake Malawi-style aquarium with plenty of swimming room and appropriate hiding places.
